I am the only person in my family with a remote interest in cameras, and this camera belonged to my late grandfather. I want to use this camera during my vacation next week, and have downloaded the user's manual, but I was thinking that perhaps someone who's used this camera might be able to help me out with it. I'm used to a digital and have not used a film camera as complex as this. Do you have any helpful suggestions, such as a type of film to use?
In the manual, when referring to film speeds that can be used, ASA 25 to ASA 800 is usable. I'm only familiar with ISO...

Question about massive virus overload on my PC...?

Ok so last year around Nov20 i somehow downloaded music from an unrelialbe source and scamware was just pouring on my computer, with tons of other malware and some ***** viruses too.
And then i couldny do anything so i just didnt touch my pc for some time.
Yesterday i was on it because i got a Win7 CD, and i thought if i install it then my XP would f off and so would the viruses, buhhhhht the viruses spent too much time with my CD ROM and it couldnt read ****. So i turned it on again, and some System Restore thing came up but the virus blocked everything EXEPT for startup stuff, so i just randomly checked stuff and clicked on boot and random buttons. Then i turned my PC on again, and yea it went to a blue screen, with two letters on it that arent even on my keyboard. One looked like a sideways slash and the other was like 4 dots. Sooooo i shat myself and waited overnight and today i turned it on and nohing even happens. It simply says as soon as it turns on "Floppy diskette seek failure, F1 to continue F2 for setup utility"
After i press F1, the same message keeps coming up saying to press F1 again, and when i press F2 and message around in the setup utility nothing happens, and when i exit the setup utility it says press F1 again.
When my PC first turns on adn i press F12 to go to the boot menu, none of the options work.
Whhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaat am i supposed to do??
I have windows7, i have a pretty decent PC, and i have viruses fuuuuuuuck
I was thinking, if i just simply get a new HARD DRIVE and install it, and burn my old hard drive, will my pc be good as new? (Yea i know, but id rather lose all my info rather than have no PC)
Oh and when it worked and it had the viruses, no command prompt would work, task manager system restore and all that was blocked by the virus, my drives couldnt be formatted, and yeah.

if anyone could help, id greatly appreciate it. If your help is epic enough and if u like ill mail u my old son a ***** HDD :) teach the mofo a lesson or two

F-1 STUDENT WORKING W/O SCHOOL AUTHORIZATION?

I am an F1 student. I am currently in deferrement for my classes in the fall semester because I am pregnant and I am having some medical problems with my pregnancy. However, that comes in handy for me because I owe the school 8,000 for past due fees and I need to get those paid to also return to school. I was working on a CPT but that has ended. The school called my employer and told them that it ended for the spring/summer semester and that I also can not work because of the medical deferrement. But I need to work at least part time to support my baby (father has left) I have my social security card and it says it is for employment purposes only and that it is DHS authorization. My question is can I still work at another job without the school approval? I was told by my International Student advisor that I should not do that but I am pregnant and NEED money to support my baby and to pay my school fee's! I was told that they (international student advisor) tell you that to scare you but I don't want to mess up status but will the school know and find out about me working even if I don't get authorization from them? Do they check and see if you are working? I really need to work! Thanks!

A DSLR camera that would work with older lens?

I consider myself an amateur photographer, I currently own a Nikon D40 and I find AF-S lens to be a bit expensive. A just bought a Nikkor 35mm f1.8 for 180£. Looking at other AF-S lens I find them expensive to the point of inaccessible. I would be interested in some 10-24mm but even Tamron are expensive.

Now my question: if I was to get a new body what should I look for? Meaning some DSLR that would work with older lens which I am to find cheap on ebay. Autofocus function is a must and if I had a choice I would stick with Nikon.

ive tried manual focus and it is a lot harder. a lot of hit and miss
im not much interested in telephoto. so if i was to buy one all-round lens id would go for a cheap 18-200, and i know tamron suffers from softness.
im more interested in widelens, low light and fish eye lens.

First of all my computer never had a floppy drive or floppy diskette

hey. so i got a dell optiplex gx620 mini tower and every time i try to turn it on it just said Floppy diskette seek failure when booting up. IT give me the option to press F1 to continue and F2 to setup... every time i press f1 nothing happens and f2 takes me to setup... so then i try changing the booting sequence that was: 1.Floppy Drive ( it said that is not present)
2. Sata HArd Drive( additional hard drive)
3. Ide hard drive ( additional hard drive)
4. CD- Room hard drive
so i exclude the floppy drive because it said it was not present, i try deleting it but the computer wouldn't let me.

addition: before this all happen my computer wasn't detecting a one of the additional hard drive so i open my computer and unplug the drive and plug them again..( the hard drive weren't the floppy hard drive(i don't have a floppy drive) or the CD- Room hard drive)

The computer warranty expired and i got my computer from my cousin.
Also my computer is running window xp professional
Furthermore my computer keyboard is not broken because every time i press f1 it make a sound and some doesn't even f2 doesn't even respond.
also i try many different booting sequence

Hard Drive Problem-Windows Vista-Sony Vaio Laptop?

Lately my laptop has had a message come up on every start up saying something along the lines of

'A Hard Drive Disk failure is immanent, back up your files immediately'

And if you want to carry on you press F1. My laptop is old, and not to expensive, so i just kept on pressing F1 every time it came up. While on holiday, i was playing on it one night. I shut it down. Then when i opened it in the morning and switched it on. It said the hard drive was preventing windows from starting. After trying every option with failure, i went for formatting my hard drive to try and fix it.
Now whenever it tries to install windows, it gets to the stage where you would enter a user-name and password, however no user-name appears, just a message saying please wait, then after about 10 seconds, a message pops up saying ROUGHLY something like this...

'Windows has had an unexpected error and cannot install windows. Restart and try to install windows again'

I've restarted many times, nothing worked. I've tried listening to the hard drive, no scratching or horrible sounds are coming from it. I've opened up the back and had a look around, but no obvious damage is there, it looks how it should be.
Can anyone give me some ideas for trying to fix it by D.I.Y? It's not worth taking it to the shop, so i want to try everything myself first.

Hi, I've recently gotten into F1 quite a lot and I've been watching some vintage races, most recently Nurburgring 1999 for one, though hardly vintage lol it's brilliant either way and I wanna find more videos of full races, on youtube or wherever, can anyone name me some truly classic races? Ones that are considered to have been some of the most exciting or important ones in history?.

Love ayrton senna's style of driving too, so would love to see a particularly good example of his work.

Also, I definately respect the sport as much as the next man, but I have to say I still also wouldn't mind finding some classic races where quite a few crashes happened too xD

Anyway, what should I look for? And if you know anywhere I can find the full videos of them, please say :P

After installing Windows XP on a partition...?

I partitioned 20gbs of my 500GB Hard Drive, to install windows XP Professional, since I missed the old Windows XP and needed a change from my Windows 7 Ultimate.

After that I noticed that whenever I started my computer a boot menu with the two operating systems wouldn't show up, it'd start on Windows XP on default.
--Naturally then, I went to Set Up options (F2 for me from start up) and I don't really remember what I did there, but apparently, afterwards, whenever I booted my computer it'd say "Diskette drive 0 failure, Press F1 to continue, F2 to enter SETUP."

After searching up stuff I tried to remove the floppy disk from the boot order, but it wouldn't work nevertheless.

In the limelight of the moment, I had no idea what I was thinking when I deleted my partition with Windows XP on it. Now whenever I boot my computer first, Diskette drive 0 failure shows up. I hit F1 to continue, and then I see a quick OS select screen for a split second.

Then it brings me to a message saying, "Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware. Please check the Windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manuals for additional information."

Thank you for taking your time to read this. Please provide insight, help, or anything at all. Has this happened to you before? Help please.
I can't. When I try to select the Hard Disk boot priority in my BIOS all it shows is a SATA-0: SAMSUNG HD501LJ Hard Drive, and bootable add-in cards. When I select the hard drive it still shows the same error messages.

Please don't tell me reformatting is the only option. Thank you for your help, insight and you taking your time to read this.

I'm a newcomer to F1 and having watched the Belgian Grand Prix today, I feel I need to fill in some gaps in my knowledge.

Here are some random questions I thought of during the race - there's a lot but each one only requires a short answer!

Does each circuit have the same number of laps?
How many races in a season?
How long does the season run for and from when to when?
Where do the races take place? Are they always in the same order?
How many points for which finishing position (for both driver and mechanic)?
Does each team (ie Ferrari, McLaren, etc) have 2 drivers?
Who are currently regarded as the better and worse drivers/teams?

Also, I don't really understand the use of the Safety Car. When does this get used and for how long before the race carries on? Does it effectively pause the race? And how does this affect lap times?

One other thing; what does the flashing light mean on the back of the cars?

Anything else a newbie should know/be aware of in F1?

Any good website recommendations are welcome.

Power button broke, how to change it into a key on the keyboard?

My power button broke on my laptop, and I have had to leave it on for the past 4 days because when I would need to put it on sleep, I wouldn't be able to turn it back on. I accidentally slept it one night, I was kind of messing with the cords and for some reason it turned back on and I don't know why.

When I look in there it seems one of the cords (it is a black cord) has broke in two. (I am able to look in there because the sides of my computer can come off)
I have a Dell Studio 1537.

Is there any way to change the power button to maybe a button on my keyboard? Such as F1, or maybe some combination of Alt, Shift, and some other keybind that I'd rarely use?
Edit: I have not much money for repairs. $50 max.

I just downloaded a torrent for Windows XP:Black Edition and then after burning it I rebooted my laptop. it worked fine untill geting to (rocket raid) or something like that then it froze so i ejected the disk and put it back in then it said rr232x.sys corrupt press any key to continue so I clicked and then it said hal.dll missing or corrupt click F1 to reboot.

What the hell do I do?

Raikkonen

2007 World Champion.
Diverse driver, now competitive in WRC.
Career plagued with reliabilty & mechanical issues.
Could easily have been 3x champion had he enjoyed the same luck as Schumacher.
Without his failure at Nurburgring 2003, he would have had the title in 2003.
In 2005, was surely the fastest man on the grid, but car failures hindered him.

Is Kimi Raikkonen one of the best F1 drivers ever?

I wholeheartedly believe that if Raikkonen had just a teaspoon of Alonso's or Schumacher's luck in his F1 career, his career stats would be far more sensational than they already are.

For example, if his car hadn't broken down in Europe in 2003, he would of been World Champion then.

In 2005, I think in just about every race that year he had a reliability issue. After Bahrain and excluding China, Raikkonen SHOULD have won pretty much every race.

Although it might not appear so, but in 2008, Raikkonen was still a real title contender. He just suffered with a combination of bad luck and problems.

In 2008, I often felt he drove too hard. In Melbourne, he was trying to be perfect almost and trying to win from the back. In Monaco, he should have just kept his position behind Sutil rather than pushing. In Montreal, he was crashed into instead of Kubica. In Valencia he had a crazy pit stop. In Singapore he went into the wall racing too hard.
